The Implementation of Set-Based LearningChrister Lundh, Program Manager, Kongsberg AutomotiveChrister Lundh of Kongsberg Automotive began his first attempts with lean product development by introducing A3s in 2005. By 2008, Kongsberg's executives had approved a strategic initiative to transition towards lean product development. It has been a bumpy road, but they have learned a lot along the way. They saw enough success that in August of 2010, the CEO committed to a global rollout of lean product development as the new "Kongsberg Automotive way of working." Christer will share the challenges he faced in getting the organization to create knowledge standards, getting the management to support knowledge creation and learning instead of immediate action, and supporting his group's first efforts to integrate knowledge and use set-based development.
