Change Agent Skills for Lean Product Development Champions

One of the first tasks of a lean product development leader is to get the other members of the organization on board, from the top of the organization through middle managers to the engineers. In this workshop, participants will practice skills in four key areas where lean product development champions need to be highly effective:

• Grasping problem situations concretely, deeply and broadly based on facts.
  

• Scoping improvement projects by breaking large, general business issues to problems that a reasonable investment of effort can address.

• Engaging others by framing improvements as experiments that make enough sense to justify the attempt.
  

• Gaining alignment on proposed changes by seeking others’ knowledge of current conditions and suggestions.

This workshop is designed for people who have been charged with championing lean product development, from inside product development groups or from corporate lean or operational excellence program office.
